Acapo (formerly Vocalio; "we", "us", the "App") separates the voice from the band in songs you choose, finds their key and tempo, and lets you record your own covers. This policy explains what the App processes, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data and we do not track you.
When you add a song (from Files, your music library, a video's soundtrack or a recording), and only after you agree on the in-app consent screen, the audio file is sent to our cloud function and to our processing provider Replicate, which runs an automated source-separation model to return two tracks: the vocals and the instrumental. Only the audio file is sent — no name, account or contacts. We keep no copy on our servers, and your songs are never used to train AI. The original file and the two tracks are stored on your device.
Key, tempo and vocal-range analysis runs entirely on your iPhone. The voice range and goal you pick during onboarding are stored on your device only.
The App uses the microphone only while you record a cover or a jam. Cover recordings and mixes are processed and stored on your device and are never uploaded. A jam you choose to separate is handled like any other song you add.
The App reads only the video or song you pick, to take its audio. It does not access or upload anything else in your libraries.
Acapo Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase. To confirm a subscription before running a cloud separation, the App sends Apple's signed transaction record to our cloud function, which verifies it with Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
Replicate (audio separation), Google Firebase / Cloud Functions (request handling), Apple (App Store purchases). Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
Songs, tracks and covers stay on your device until you delete them in the App or delete the App.
Acapo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
